Buy a WD motorcycle now and take part in the 80th Anniversary celebrations of D Day in June 2024.
It is not often that a genuine “Barn find” M20 comes to the market but now is your opportunity to own an example of the most successful military motorcycle manufactured during WW2.
This original WD M20 BSA was supplied to the Army under contract S.5209 commencing on 2nd December 1943 up to 28th July 1945.The serial numbers for this batch ran from 104818 up to 116817 and it would have been sold out of military service sometime between June and August 1961.
The bike comes with a current V5C, registration 769 XUB and is registered as a Historic Vehicle and is therefore free road tax and MOT exempt. The V5C records that it is declared manufactured in 1944 and that there have been no former keepers. The number is non-transferable.
The bike has seen very little use, if any, for a number of years and has stood in a dry barn. As a genuine “Barn Find” we have deliberately decided to leave it in its existing barn find patina, preferring to leave the decision of what to do to it to the next custodian. It has been recommissioned by us and now runs and rides nicely. During this process the fuel tank was removed and flushed through, the carburettor cleaned and magneto points removed, cleaned and reset. The oil has been drained and replaced with fresh oil. There is currently no horn or regulator fitted and therefore the lights do not function. Please look at the photographs and contact us if you have any questions, which we will do our best to answer.
