SOLD - Matchless 1941 Airborne 350cc
This original WD motorcycle was supplied to the War Office under contract C11102 dated 21st July 1941. There were 3352 motorcycles supplied under this contract and many were known to have been delivered to the British Airborne forces.
The bike comes with a current V5C, registration NSL 952 and is registered as a historic vehicle and is therefore free road tax and MOT exempt.
The bike has retained many of its War time features including original WD, blackout mask (possibly a reproduction), T position lighting switch, original CZ27 ammeter, canvas handlebar grips. The wheel rims are stamped Matchless instead of Dunlop, which we have never seen before. The engine is a War time service replacement unit and is still fitted with its riveted engine number plate
Frame number is 28655 and engine number 41/G3L 85201.
